For those behind bars
For the invalid at the hospital
For those who in depression sigh
For those that the moonlight make cry
Only the window is their faithful mate
She opens the light and the hope
For all those who wait
El que tras la rejas está
El enfermo que llega el final
El que en depresión suspira
El que en la noche a la luna mira
Solo la ventana es fiel compañera
abriendo esperanza y luz
para ese que espera

Opened windows have a way of offering hope.
Esperar- to wait and to hope. So many inhaling the night by that open window.
there was such a sweetness in this.
Those were great words. Yes, to some the window is vital.
Such a lovely use of the word. I have been some of those people... and windows were magical portals of hope for me too...
Very nice - hope is a window...
I saw many windows here in your poem...the images were vivid.
vital........yes that is the word!
thanks for your words!
yo también espero
( thank u for ur beautiful poem ) ..
You are absolutely right on here. You are pointing out, without saying, the desolating effect that solitary confinement can have on a prisoner. Or a padded cell for a mentally ill person out of control.
..
yeah..i agree..windows are important for soul..
the window is the faithful friend
to one is distress - for the window
offers hope.
Great words... how well you capture the essence of broken windows.. it surely is a product of a great thought process!
