You said “I am thirsty”
fullfilling the prophecy
with nails in your hands
on your path to the divine
you were still a man
“sed tengo” Tú dijistes
y la profecía cumplistes
aún con clavos en las manos
en el camino a lo divino
demostrastes ser humano

Oh my ... never looked at it this way before. Truth has a beauty all it's own, even when it's ugly.
Great insight today. Excellent.
That thirst is a painful reminder.
A painful cry about thirst ...
How true, Sandra. He was and that is why He was still there. He was a man and it was God's will.
He prayed over that issue even though He knew what the answer would be.
..
nicely written!
that is exactly the expression of my thoughts after i read this prompt...i could not get that line from the Gospel out of my head.
Insightful post!
I liked the Spanish version with its rhyme.
Excellently done!! And so true as well.
Simple, yet beautiful. Pain is sometimes needed to quench our thirst otherwise we don't realize just how thirsty we really were.
the "seven words" Jesus said before dying have been deeply studied and explained....asking for water was a way to show that he needed things like any other man in earth...
