How I met you

I met you in 1981. You arrived in a cold winter day of may . Since that moment you filled my life with your sweet company. You were a silent quiet baby. As you grew up you were very often by my side and we went out holding hands. When you were 12 years old suddenly you did not feel comfortable holding hands with me anymore. I noticed that and I did not force you to do so. You separated from me as time passed. You were very far sometimes that I did not recognize who you were. We spent hard and sad moments. Time has passed since you left the home that saw you come into my life. Now we meet from time to time and we again are able to share company and time together feeling so good...a flower was born, a flower called love.... true love shared between a mother and a son.

What a touching post. Thank you.

In re your questions at OSI: the smiley face indicates where your name is; that's all. Just to show you that you are on the list.

I hope this clarifies the problem.

What a lovely idea.... relating 'meeting' to giving birth. Is the meaning the same in the second verse of your poem as in the first?
